Working with you - Ginkgo Financial Ltd
Intelligent advice. Plain speaking. Excellent service. The three guiding principles of Ginkgo.

Working with you

Body

Just as there’s no such thing as an average client, there’s no one-size-fits-all financial plan. We’ll work with you to agree an approach that matches your unique personal and business situation, including:

Wealth – tax-efficient investing to support your financial goals at every stage of your life.

Protection – providing a buffer from life’s twists and turns by making sure your family and business are protected if you were to lose your job, fall ill or even die.

Succession – exploring ways of passing more of your wealth onto your loved ones tax-efficiently, including by creating trusts.

Retirement – planning for your retirement goals, including consolidating pensions, exploring pension freedoms or planning how you would cover the costs of long-term care.

Mortgage advice – buying property, remortgaging, sourcing buy-to-let, commercial and other specialist mortgages, and releasing equity from your property in later life.

How we work

Getting to know you
Before you commit, you need to get a sense of who we are and whether we’re the right people to help you. We start every relationship with a free 30-minute phone call. If you like what you hear, we’ll follow this with a face-to-face meeting or video conference to gather more information about any plans you have in place, your attitude to risk and return, and what you ultimately hope to achieve. Based on these conversations, we’ll draw up an outline plan and explain our fees clearly and simply.

Turning plans into action
At this stage, a small number of people decide they’d like to put our recommendations into action themselves, which they’re welcome to do. Most, though, prefer to accept our fee proposal and have us do the necessary work for them. This is quicker, simpler and gives you confidence that everything has been set up correctly. Rest assured that we will never start any chargeable work until you’ve agreed to it in writing.

Fine tuning and reviewing
Things change, so we design all our plans to be flexible. We will review your plan regularly and make sure it always keeps pace with your circumstances and goals. It’s best to revisit your plan yearly, but we can fit in a review whenever works best for you. We’ll also let you know whenever we have a new product or service that we think could interest you.

Financial planning is complicated – but it’s not a dark art! We pride ourselves on being open, easy to understand and accessible. We’ll explain everything in plain English and we’re here at any time to answer your questions, however small. We hope that we’ll become financial partners for life, working with you, not for you.
